We did these for Pĕsaḥ|Passover but they would be super fun to do for reading through Shemoth|Exodus and homeschool lessons as well.
Listen to this super fun song about the plagues with the children and make some goodies.
First YAH sent plague #1 turned the Nile into blood.
These Tart cherry gummies were super easy. Here’s the recipe we chose because it used organic juice, grassfed beef gelatin, raw honey, and lemon juice.
Then YAH sent plague #2 jumping frogs all over you.
Dandies vegan marshmallows, organic chocolate chips from Azure Standard, and Bear yoyo fruit strips make this a great snack and totally clean!
Then YAH sent plague #3 swarms of gnats from head to knee.
Then YAH sent plague #4 filthy flies, need we say more?
Then YAH sent plague #5 all the livestock up and died.
Organic applegate turkey & chicken worked so perfectly for this along with some yummy raw cheddar cheese from Graziers Azure Standard.
Then YAH sent plague #6 boils and sores to make you sick.
Some organic popcorn popped on the stovetop with coconut oil and a little bit of grassfed butter & sea salt was a perfect snack.
Then YAH sent plague #7 hail and lightening down from heaven.
Dandies mini marshmallows & goji berries made a great hail and fire food rendition.
Then YAH sent plague #8 locusts came and they sure ate.
We used some dates because I took the lazy route. I’ve seen super cute ways to make edible locusts or if you’re feeling spicy – get some to try – HEY! They’re a clean one!
Then YAH sent plague #9 total darkness all the time.
We went with my favorite chocolate pudding recipe. It is chalked full of protein. I thought about brownies but then I just made a pan of them for dessert.
Egg pudding: SCRAMBLE 8 large pastured eggs, yes you cook them. Trust me. Throw into a blender the rest of your ingredients: 1 cup raw milk, 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or organic cane sugar), 1/4 cup organic cacao or cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp real vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon, pinch of salt. Add your scrambled eggs and blend until smooth. Pour into bowls or small serving size mason jars and refrigerate until set.
Then YAH sent plague #10 Pharoah’s son died, so he gave in. (sort of until he decided to follow the Israelites into the Red Sea)
Well there was no real food items that went with this, so I took a different route and talked about how when we accept 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 blood to cover us it washes us clean and we are preparing our garments until we meet Him.
The homemade dip is 16oz of organic sour cream, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 Tbl minced onion, 1 tsp dill weed, 2 tsp dried chives, 1 tsp parsley, 1/2 tsp sea salt. It works great as a potato chip dip for some Boulder avocado oil chips, need I say more?
Some other fun happenings from our Pĕsaḥ|Passover and Feast of Matzot/Unleavened Bread included, receiving a lamb and a lion to remind us of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 Yahusha/Yahshua our Messiah.
We also made some little 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 dolls to represent the burial and resurrection for the children to have a visual. They could personalize their dolls. On Pĕsaḥ we wrapped the dolls in the cloth, tie the string around, placed the doll in the “tomb” box, and placed the egg carton rock over Him. On Firstfruits, He would conquer death and rise. The thought on this was each parent hide the 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 dolls and the children find Him. A simple project that you can save to do each year.
We also went to our friends to have fellowship and a feast of delicious snacky foods, my friend made quite the spread, before having our Pĕsaḥ meal of roasted lamb, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread. We watched the movie the Ten Commandments and enjoyed our time together.
The children made matzot houses and used up every single ounce of candies. For the door we used those Bear fruit rolls, Yum Earth lollipops, Smart sweets gummies in various flavors, unreal chocolate candies . What a sweet time. Who says eating unleavened bread for 7 days isn’t amazing!?
