Can you just feel the weather on the cusp of changing? It gets me very excited to observe 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Yahuah’s wonderful feasts! It is such a blessing.
Yum Kaparayam. This feast observance is a little different, it is from arab to arab [evening to evening] to give us time to reflect. The other days are observed from baqar to baqar [morning to morning] at sunrise in light. This one points us to the wrath and righteous judgement upon the earth. In Scripture, a day of darkness for some and a delight for His people.
We are told to afflict/humble our beings. Anah. H6030-33
Anah means to turn from sin, repent, tashubah, to humble ourselves. To bow down at His feet in humility, confess our sins, and ask for forgiveness. To sing praises, shout, and celebrate to Yahuah and Yahusha 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 Mashayach [Messiah]. AhlaluYAH, Yahusha 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 is our Gadul Kahn [High Priest] by the decree of Malakay-Tsadaqu [Melchizedek] forever making atonement for Yashara’al.
We must be careful to not show up to the feasts without reconciliation with our brother.

And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 spoke to Mashah(Moses), saying, On the tenth day of this seventh new month (Chadash) is Yum Kaparayam (Day of Atonements). It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict (anah) your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. “And you do no work on that same day, for it is Yum Kaparym, to make atonement for you before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 your Alahyam. “For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. “And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. “You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ‘It is a Shabat of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the new month (Chadash) at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Shabat.”
Uyaqura’a (Leviticus) 23:26-32 ISR Scriptures
Fast or Feast?
Anah H6030 means to answer, reply, respond, hear, testify, speak, witness
Anah H6031 means to be bowed down, submitted, afflicted, humble, to sing
Anah H6032 means to answer
Anah H6033 means to be humble, be low, poor, needy
The word for Fast is TsUM H6685 H6684 and in verses like Tahlah/Psalm 35:13 does use Anah and Tsum together. Fasting from food is a great way to humble yourselves. In the text in Uyqura’a (Leviticus) – we don’t see the word TSUM associated.
Yashayahu (Isaiah) 58:3-7 talks of fasting and afflicting being lifted up to a spiritual sense, righteousness & right-ruling, humble yourselves. We are NOT to follow the Talmud which is Rabbinical Judaism and adding to the Turah.
Why do you not sacrifice anymore?
Awesomely our Mashayach (Messiah) Yahusha 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 points to the sacrifices of the goats.
We are commanded to bring an offering made by fire. What does that look like today?
Fire represents the ruch (spirit) and offering represents praise. We are to praise Him with our spirit our circumcised heart humbled before Him.
During the feasts, it reminds us to remain watchful for His final return and our eyes on our Redeemer, because HE LIVES and is COMING BACK AGAIN! AhlaluYAH!
