We’re reading in 1 Malakayam (Kings) with the children. This really stuck out to me to study out what is evil in the eyes of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (Yahuah, The Most High’s Name)? 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had warned His people not to take wives of the nations because they worshipped the other alahyam (mighty ones). This is seen today with His people celebrating all the holidays but not keeping His Feasts, Commandments, and His Way.
Then the children of Yashara’al did evil in the eyes of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, and served the Balayam, and forsook 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahy of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Matsarayam, and went after other mighty ones, of the mighty ones of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them, and provoked 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. So they forsook 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and served Bal and the Ashatarat. And the displeasure of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 burned against Yashara’al. Therefore He gave them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them. And He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, and they were unable to stand before their enemies any longer.
Shapathayam (Judges) 2:11-14
If you continue reading, you see 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 raises up people to oppress His people to bring them into repentance. You’ll see a pattern in Scripture that it is always 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 who is the one appointing wrath because of sin/evil to try/test who will follow Him. Shapathayam (Judges) 2:22 through chapter 3.
He uses these trials/tribulation to try His people in the fire. He calls Matsarayam/Egypt the fiery furnace. Precious metals need put into the furnace to come out pure. That’s what He does to us, to make us a vessel who is pursuing righteousness, walking in His Ways to do the work of His will.
For further study I encourage you to obviously just read your bible cover to cover, start at the very beginning, from Bara’ashayat (Genesis) to Chazan (Revelation). This is the only way to get a full picture on what Scripture is talking about. You cannot start a book which is an entire story halfway through and certainly cannot have a definition of His Way from the “New Testament” alone. Also a word study on “evil in the eyes of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄” is helpful in understanding.
Shamu’al (Samuel) warns the people who want a sovereign over them like the nations.
“And all the elders of Yashara’al gathered together and came to Shamu’al at Ramah, and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint for us a malak (king) to shapath (judge) us like all the nations.” But the word was evil in the eyes of Shamu’al when they said, “Give us a malak to shapath us.” So Shamu’al prayed to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Shamu’al, “Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from Malak over them. “According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Matsarayam, even to this day – forsaking Me and serving other mighty ones – so they are doing to you too.”
Alap Shamu’al (1 Samuel) 8:4-9
This is what Shamu’al told the people after telling them to put away their idols to foreign gods.
“If you yara’a (fear) 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, and shall abad (serve) Him and shama (obey) His voice, and not rebel against the mouth of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, then both you and the malak who reigns over you shall follow 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahyakam. But if you do not obey the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, and shall rebel against the mouth of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, then the hand of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 shall be against you, as it was against your fathers.”
Alap Shamu’al (1 Samuel) 12:14-15
Chapter 13 immediately follows with Sha’aul being impatient and not waiting for Shamu’al to come to the appointed place, Galagal, to offer the ascending offering. The pressure of the Phillistines and the people were pressing in on him. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 tears the reigns from his Sha’aul when he disobeyed.
And Shamu’al said to Sha’aul, “You have been foolish. You have not guarded the Matsut (command) of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahyak, which He commanded you. For now 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 would have established your reign over Yashara’al forever. “But now, your reign is not going to stand. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 shall seek for Himself a man after His own heart, and 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 shall command him to be leader over His people, because you have not guarded what 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 commanded you.”
Alap Shamu’al (1 Samuel) 13:13-14
Fast forward through all the trials of Dud (David) being pursued by Sha’aul and his own shortcomings. Still the accounts we have of Dud refer to him in a good light, because he practiced true repentance. Because of his character and his deeds, he was chosen to be the lineage for our Messiah 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏 (Yahusha).
“And having removed him (Sha’aul), He raised up for them Dud as sovereign, to whom also He gave witness and said, ‘I have found Dud the son of Yashay, a man after My own heart, who shall do all My desires. From this one’s seed, according to the promise, Yahuah raised up for Yashara’al a Saviour, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏” Mashah (Acts) 13:22-23
Unfortunately, after Dud died, his son Shalamah (Solomon) was led astray by the foreign women that the children of Yashara’al were told not to have anything to do with. This led him astray to serve the Ba’als and Ashtoreths.
Therefore 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was enraged with Shalamah, because his heart had turned away from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahy of Yashara’al, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this word, not to go after other mighty ones. But he did not guard what 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had commanded. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 said to Shalamah, “Because you have done this, and have not guarded My covenant and My laws, which I have commanded you, I shall certainly tear the reign away from you and give it to your servant.
Alap Malakayam (1 Kings) 11:9-11
Really quickly, every time this evil was mentioned, it was linked to worshipping other gods such as Ba‛als and the Ashtoreths. You can read more about that on my Traditions, Christmas, and Hanukkah posts. That is simply a jumping board. It is truly disgusting and is still done today in front of our faces. You will see the symbolism in your face in Hollyweird, the movie industry (yes this includes D!sn3y), music industry (from classical, rock, to contemporary Christian), video games (like Mario, Pokemon) and pro sports. They push things on believers like martial arts, yoga, magic, personality tests like enneagram, vision boards, dream catchers, gnomes, trolls, yeti, big foot, giants, fairies, dinosaurs, dragons, unicorns, globe earth, na$a, and mermaids to name a few. The darker things of course being fr33mas0nry & !llum1naughty. These are the same god who holidays are professed to. All this leads back to the watchers/fallen angels who created nephilim. Bara’ashayat (Genesis) 6:4 and sun god worship. This is a fantastic series to graze the surface on symbols.
So if we’re partaking, maybe unknowingly in these abominable practices by observing these holidays designed to be worshipping other mighty ones and forsaking Yahuah’s commandments, what makes us qudash (set apart) unto Him? If we still look like the world and partake in everything that’s of the world, what makes us different from the world?
“Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens. Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:19
